At the beginning of October, the Leopard Capital team visited our last-mile Amazon Logistics Centre located in Parque Metropolitano, strategically positioned between Granada and Málaga.
The asset was forward funded, with Amazon selecting the site prior to construction, reflecting the strength of its macro and micro location fundamentals.
The site was chosen for its proximity to dense urban populations across the wider Granada metropolitan area, with direct access to key arterial road networks that are continuously being invested in and expanded.
These infrastructure upgrades, alongside continued local growth, position the area as an emerging last-mile logistics hotspot.
Now operational for over a year, the visit provided an opportunity to assess the asset in use The team toured the delivery, packing, and distribution areas, observing the high-volume, time-critical workflows that underpin Amazon’s last-mile delivery network.
Particular focus was given to operational flow, yard management and internal circulation. The building’s layout, specification and micro-location were shown to effectively support operational efficiency at scale, enabling rapid delivery to urban populations while accommodating future growth.
Seeing the asset fully operational reinforced Leopard Capital’s stock selection and asset design strategy, demonstrating how careful alignment of location, infrastructure, occupier requirements and long-term growth potential can deliver resilient last-mile logistics assets.
